Prague

We spent New Years in Prague from December 2016 to January 2017. What a city!!! Daniel had wanted to visit Prague for many years and it had never happened. How lucky for him that it finally did with the best travel companion. Everyone says Prague is a must go city. It turns out they are right.

We stayed at a wonderful little hotel that featured a delightful breakfast each morning. It was perhaps the best meal of the day although we did pretty well dining throughout the city. The hotel had a great location just across the street from the train station which was quite convenient when we took a day trip to the bone church. That was definitely something. It may have earned higher marks had it not been for the snowfall as we ventured through the small town that surrounds it. Walking through the snow and stopping for coffee in small European towns just seems to beget memories.

We also had the opportunity to have dinner at the Dancing House before watching the Marriage of Figaro at the National Theater on January 5th. Is it just a coincidence that we will celebrate our union in Taiwan on January 5th?

Celine had one more surprise for the trip. She always likes to have one fabulous dinner to celebrate our vacations. This one was at the bell tower. It was delicious! Fortunately, no one rang the bell over our heads. We would likely still be hearing it today. With clear ears we can tell you that the food was delicious. Celine wins again!
