Two sacred hearts: one in Keelung, Taiwan and one in Augusta, GA; one woman and one man. For those of us inclined to believe in a great plan whether authored by God, the eternal unfolding of a universal spirit, or even just fate, these two hearts have a story. It is a story traversing oceans and continents, written in two hearts over fifteen years. Is it simply coincidence that these hearts met at a Taiwanese elementary school named Sacred Heart? And if it is, would that same fortune have them declare their love at a church on the other side of the world also named Sacred Heart? A new union emerges with old stories and new stories, old habits and new commitments, but the same accepting, transcending love.
